Batten Kill Railroad

Where else can you find an RS-3 running in regular revenue service in 2015? Well, there may be a few here and there but the only one I know of is the Batten Kill. Here a Batten Kill RS-3 pulls freight north from the Pan-Am interchange in Eagle Bridge, New York. I have tried a few times to get one of these units -- there are two that I know of -- in action and failed before. I actually thought I had failed this time too when I looked out the driver's side window to admire an upstate farm field and saw this little train heading north.

It was not a perfectly sunny day but I don't really care. It's an RS-3.
