2026 Number One: Depew, New York April 19.

My Not-so-Little-Anymore Helper and I were traveling across New York on our way to Ontario when I decided to make a sidetrip to Depew. It has been at least 10 years, if not more, since I had been there and I knew we could pop off the Thruway and see a train within a few minutes of arriving. I wasn't wrong. This westbound was the second to roar through the station in about 10 minutes. There was a slow eastbound on the far track and in between a fourth train was stopped either waiting for a signal or a crew. I couldn't tell.
It's been a while since I touched the blog, but I am back and in the next few days I will be adding to this year's list.
