Once upon a time in East Deerfield

I don't remember exactly when I took these photos. I think there were in the early spring of 1988. I wandered out to East Deerfield one afternoon, which was a rare treat then because I didn't get out that way much after I graduated from UMass in 1984. I poked my nose in at the "Rail Fan Bridge" and there working the yard was this little gem:


You know, you can say all kinds of bad things about Guilford, and a lot of people do, but it was fun watching what could show up at the end of train when they were first starting out. (Actually, it still is even though they have changed their name to Pan Am.)
