The veterans' car

Control car 1528 waits with its inbound train for an outbound to clear Norwood Depot station. The MBTA won't have two trains in the same station at the same time where people can walk across the tracks. Control car 1528 is special because it is one of the MBTA cars that carries the names of the service personnel who died in the Middle East. The cars are painted blue with the red and white stripes running the length of its flanks. It also carries gold stars each one bearing the name of a service man or woman who gave their life.
