Twelve: September 10, 2016 Hartford, Connecticut

I lived in Amherst, Belchertown and Pelham for years. I went to Springfield a few times while I lived there and a few times in the years that followed. I never really ventured into Connecticut though. When I thought of trains and places to chase them I always looked north. To the then-B&M East Deerfield yard or to Brattleboro and Bellows Falls, Vermont. I really can't say why I never thought to railfan the Springfield line south to Hartford and beyond. Well, I am going to fix that. Here is Connecticut Southern power lined up at the company's headquarters in Hartford.
