Thirteen: Deklab, Illinois, Sunday October 23, 2016

I had to go to Chicago for business. I got in early on Suday and decided to rent a car at the airport and go for a drive. I didn't have a good plan, but I figured I would just head west. I ended up being drawn to Rochelle like a moth to a flame. But before I got there I stopped in Dekalb and caught this eastbound intermodal heading toward Chicago on ex-CNW trackage, which explains the "running on the wrong main."

I took many more photos at Rochelle and vicinity that I will post later. I also got some nice shots of the passenger yards in Chicago from the office window. They will go up soon as well.
