I took this photo of the Seattle Monorail from atop the Space Needle. I wrote about my Seattle trip earlier this year but just found this photo of the Monorail and decided to post it. There is something about a Monorail that says carnival ride, but in Seattle it is a viable and legitimate mode of railed transportation, so I felt I couldn't discriminate.
I actually liked this picture because it highlights the Monorail in its natural habitat -- plying the canyons of an urban landscape. I took other photos of the Monorail from various angles but this was my favorite because of the cramped feeling of the buildings on either side of it.
