Two: Westerly, Rhode Island January 1. 2024

The pagoda tower just outside Westerly. I stopped her on my way back from Niantic. I arrived at the station at the same time the train did, so I hoofed it up the street to see if I could get a better shot. Those Amtrak electrics move pretty quick, so the best I could do is get the nose and the tower.
If you haven't been to Westerly, I suggest making a stop. The station is lovely and is a testament to the time when the New Haven Rail Road had money, means and manpower. It is unusual in its design and looks from just about anything else in New England. In someways, with its terracotta tiles and white exterior, it looks like it should be in Southern California or Arizona hosting Santa Fe or Southern Pacific steamliners.
